It takes an incredible amount of courage to be the lone voice on the Board. You pushed for an answer to the question , “who benefits?” And inability of anyone to respond should have driven each Commissioner to vote with you. Keep up the good fight, Sir.

Thanks again Commissioner Kruse.

That’s two EXCELLENT articles just this week defending your positions with facts and logic after being on the losing side of 6-1 votes on two critical issues. I’m frustrated and I merely spoke in opposition to both.

It may certainly be a “bridge too far” for you and your career as a Commissioner but I would love to see you next write an article giving your advice as an insider on how we as concerned citizens / informed voters can bring about change to the BOCC and return some integrity to our county government - everything from finding qualified candidates to beating our rigged primary system to overcoming all the Super Pac, Developer and “Good Ole’ Boy”money sure to fund opposition to any such candidate.

A lot to ask, I know. But down the road, it could potentially allow you to start writing articles about how happy you are to be on the winning side of votes to do good things for your constituents. Think how THAT would feel!

Some of your colleagues appeared so shocked when the remaining crowd erupted in an anguished chorus of “Shame!” and other phrases of betrayal. I would not expect the public to get friendlier as they are sold down river, along with the river itself...

This board’s willingness to allow destruction of our environment has crossed from corruption into evilness. For the supposedly God - loving (but hypocritical) commissioners that voted to destroy the beauty that He created, I wonder how they reconcile? Like Judas, they betrayal is bought and paid for.

Thanks George. Manatee should have a recall provision for defective Commissioners. Also need some media that does a better job educating public who are attuned to reality and not social media fodder.

Check out The Bradenton Times. They do in depth reporting on the issues that come before the County Commission. They also keep tabs on the County Administration and management (or lack of). Highly recommended.

Thanks. I read that. An educated populous is one of the cornerstones of a successful democracy. The founding leaders of the Country believed public education was needed to ensure a successful experiment of a represented Republic type of government. Its sad to see how public education has failed to keep people focused on issues facing the Country. National debt? Medicare and SS funding?

I saw first hand how the 6 could care what the scientists and engineers proved against the taking back of buffer zones. They truly have to go since they care nothing about our water or our community. Once the state takes over we lose our community.
